Title: Kelly's Map of Devon
Publication: Directory of Devonshire and Cornwall
Date: c.1889
Description: Kelly & Co. engraved by F. Bryer, c.1889. In 1883 Kelly and Co. introduced a new map for their Directory of Devonshire and Cornwall to replace the earlier Becker map of 1856. This map was printed by the Cheffins company at their Steam Printing Works and the engraver employed was F. Bryer. By this time Kelly's address was Gt Queen Street, London, where they had moved in 1870. Although many copies of the directory exist, unfortunately most have lost their maps. This map continued to be used in the Directory of Devonshire up to 1939.
